Please consider being a sponsor We are very grateful for the support we had (both physically and financially) from all we encountered on the last tour in March 2009, and we treasure the connections we made, particularly the Dharma School and Bodhi Garden in Brighton and the Satsang group in Chard, Somerset. The costs of a tour like this are extensive and last time were initially funded by only a few people. Thanks to the generosity of those who received teachings, we managed to cover our costs and send a substantial amount back to India. Share the financial burden For the past year we have been trying to get a funding process up and running. The Vajra Fund covers air fares, venue rental, transport costs between venues in Britain, food, print-outs, initiation materials and other miscellaneous costs incurred. Rather than having to find the money from a few, we are hoping to accumulate a small amount from many people as sponsorship. The main benefit of multiple sponsors for a tour like this is that more funds can go to refugee monks and nuns in India, but of course it does spread the financial burden in these troubled times. Support Sangha and help provide the Dharma to your local community Essentially we will also be fulfilling one of the main dana practices of lay Buddhists in a spiritual relationship but we will also be providing Dharma teachings from a highly accomplished master to the various local communities where teachings are planned. The twins and two other  young monks at Gongkar Chode . Dana One of the main practices of lay Buddhists in a spiritual relationship is that of materially supporting Sangha - those who have gone forth into the holy life of the Buddha - and our Spiritual Friends (Kalyana Mitrata) will be fulfilling one of theirs; that of spiritually supporting lay practitioners with precious Dharma teachings to aid liberation.
